3 great seminar sessions. Amazing worship from "The Unworthy Beloved" and Main Session Messages from Meredith Workman & Chris Grimmett.

Lab Session #1 (11:10AM-12PM)

Exploring a Career in Youth Ministry: A lab designed to assist youth in answering some of the questions that come along with feeling a call to ministry.  This group will help you along that road and give you a chance to ask some of the question you may have as you begin, or continue, to uncover this call on your life.
Room: B204  (Kevin Ward - Director of Student Ministries, Williamson’s Chapel UMC, Mooresville, NC)

Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts: God has blessed each of us with a wonderful ability to serve as a vibrant and dynamic member of the Body of Christ.  This lab will give you some help in identifying what your spiritual gifts may be. Room: B201  (Darrin Allen - ?)

How to Plan a Message: Do you ever wish you could lead the message or program time at your youth gathering?  How about effectively leading a small group, Bible study or prayer group?  Well this lab will give you some amazing and       practical tips on how to plan a quality message and leave an impact once you’re done.  Room: A111  (Michael Hall - ?)

Missions as a Lifestyle: Scripture even says it.  “Faith without action is dead.”  But what happens after the mission trip or service project is over?  Maybe you feel a tug on your heart to a life of missions.  Either locally, in the United States or  possibly beyond these borders.  This lab will give you some great feedback on where you are and how to proceed.
Room: A109  (Bill Coble - Missionary, Start With One-Kenya, Kenya, Africa)

Lab Session #2 (1:10-2PM)

Building a Welcoming Youth Ministry: Does your ministry give off a “No-Vacancy” vibe?  Are all youth welcomed, accepted and encouraged to be a part of your ministry?  Now really think about it and tell the truth.  If your ministry isn’t welcoming any and all youth, then it is not displaying the love of Christ that it has been commanded to give.  This lab will give you a chance to evaluate your ministry and gain some great ideas on how to make meaningful and lasting changes.
Room: B201  (Amanda Thomas - Program Minister, Midway UMC, Winston-Salem, NC)

Learning to Lead Yourself Before Leading Others: Are you taking care of your spiritual and physical needs.  Balance is a huge part of your wellness and aids in your ability to be an effective leader.  This lab is designed to assist you in meeting your own needs, so you can do all God desires you to do in leading and meeting the needs of others.  Room: A111  (Darrin Allen - ?)

The Crossover: Transitioning from into middle school, and from middle school to high school can be extremely stressful and scary time for youth.  This is a lab designed to give leadership youth some tools to help the youth in their programs to navigate these often turbulent rapids of change they will experience.
Room: B204  (Charlie Brown - Director of Youth Ministries, Weddington UMC, Weddington, NC)

How to Make & Maintain a Worship Band that Doesn’t Suck!: It is more than making noise with guitars, drums and 11 singers.  A worship band is a vital and critical part of a ministry, and all ministries have the ability to have a great one.
Room: Fellowship Hall  (Kyle Wilkinson - Member of “The Unworthy Beloved”, Gardner-Webb University, Shelby, NC)

Lab Session #3 (2:15-3:05PM)

Help Your Ancient Youth Pastor Enter the 21st Century! Technology in Youth Ministry: Overheads, songbooks and smoke signals are no longer an effective form of media in a modern youth ministry.  Get some ideas on how to lead your  ministry in some effective forms of technology.  Who knows?  You may even be able to share some ideas.
